Hi yel327,

is a steering wheel for a HQ cap or is the LX cap a different, do you have one that looks a LX cap.

I bought one from Rare Spares to be the LX packet.

Regards Mando.

I meant the SS bit mate. That is for a HQ XV2 aka Belmont SS sedan. There is no badge on an LX SS cap, they are blank like HJ-HX GTS and LH-LX SL/R. Doesn't really matter though as your hatch is far from original, better than original!

Wow, awesome pics of the underside there, some nice hardware too
If the top side of my car looked half that good I’d be rapt
You’ve made a brilliant job of that

G'day Mando,

The Torana horn cap is just blank across the entire model range, even A9X...

Rare Spares have been selling those "SS" badged caps as suiting Torana for as long as I can remember, you'd think they'd realise their mistake eventually but apparently sales figures mean more than accuracy?

Hi Guy's

I wanted the 14" steering wheel as the original.

But they are actually for HQ SS, which is why the font is wrong (looks nothing like the Torana "SS"...

Wow!!! That photo set of the underside of the car is fantastic!

Give yourself a good old pat on the back. Just awesome.

Any idea if you can still buy those rear tyres in Aus? Nitto NT 05 275/40R17 I am guessing?

Yeah, I went the naff SLR badge on my wheel, mainly because I got the wheel second hand (but new), so took what I could get. I will get a standard horn pad one day. They don't look too bad.

I see what you are looking about the cap.

The cap without any emblem is rubber cap and solid with any flex on the horn.

The cap with the emblem has a plastic and cap to together at.

The is the cap with has NO springs show the horn button cap.

The plastic shows the lathe under gets the six bolts that gives you just enough to flex the button horn works.

Regards Mando.
