I understand that Rarespares are bringing out a new bonnet lacing (BL106A) which I believe is going to be longer than the current one so that it runs across the whole of the cowl.  Can someone confirm this and if so any idea on the eta.  Cheers Ron

I got one from Aveska, and it was way too long. I had to trim it.

Thanks for that.  I have bought some stuff off them before so will give them a call tomorrow. Cheers Ron

I ended up getting a strip from Clark Rubber. Does the job and nobody has noticed it is 100% factory.

I ended up buying the lacing from Better Rubber.  I think it is the same that Aveska sell.  The profile is the same as the Rares one but it is marginally smaller in size.  Will need to be trimmed but at least it covers the total length of the cowling, which in my case is what I want. Cheers Ron

I bought one from beta Auto rubber which was full length LH style. The one a got from Rares was a short one like what's fitted to an LX.

It doesn't specify in the text and the photo doesn't show enough to tell. You might have to send em a message

Maybe direct him to better Auto rubber

That was where I bought mine which was full length to suit LH. Looking at that photo I'd say it's still the full length one.

My cowl panel has 10 holes across for the clips.

Brad, I'm pretty sure the one I bought from Better Auto Rubber is the one in the second post but I think they are both the same.  I rang them first and they advised that they cut them a bit longer at about 1.45mtrs.  Mine has 11 holes and clips.  Thing to note they come with plastic clips and not screws.  Cheers Ron

Finally found the invoice from Better Auto Rubber.  Listed as LH-LX-UC Bonnet Lace with clips.  Code BL1011.  Cheers Ron
