Keep in mind how low Cohen's car is... will yours necessarily be as low or can you make it higher?
I'd just keep tyre width to a minimum, and don't make it super low; you should be safe... hopefully
I've got 225/65/R13s on my car (on the rear; nothing to do with clearance) and I doubt I'd want to go any skinnier on 8"s with that profile, I'm not sure whether different profile's would adversely affect the way a certain width of tyre behaves on a certain width of wheel, but I'd ring up your local tyre joint and talk to them about what profiles and widths would be alright if you're unsure.

205 is quoted min 6 inch and max 8 inch with around 7 to 7.5 being ideal. the wider the rim the less movement in the side wall. i would really go with 7 inch but have the 8's and as i said, they look sick esp with the 205/50/15 on them. the tread actually measures 8.5 as they are low profile and the tread only extends around the sidewall radiusabout 1/4 inch.

There's no option of you investing in some of those P76 discs? or do you have them already? Or are you running Torana stud pattern? Haven't even looked at the whole thread so excuse my ignorance. School time, see ya!
