Yuck
I'll try make it better for you Rob.
One of the seat retainer plates was damaged. Got another one so set about removing the damaged one.
Again this will stay like this until I've sandblasted every thing.

Test fitting the radiator. This has been real pain to sort with wrong size core fitted to wrong size side straps. Finally sorted 9 months later.

This cars had a few hits from below. One thing that needs fixing is the trailing arm mount.
I heated it up and hammered it into a better position. Ground it down where required and polished it with the nylon strip wheel. Looking a bit more respectable now.

Get your eyes checked Albert :-)
I've been waiting for the car to be upside down so I can remove the sealant from under the dash. Have also started vacuuming the crud up inside the shell as I spin it.

Hey Marty, i bet you wish you had a rotisserie on 1st build you did, its so much easier isn't it. Hows the brick pillars holding up, don't want to tell you how to suck eggs, but just make sure you keep an eye on any cracks in the render. Great work as usual, and i'm sure everyone appreciates you taking the time to post photos. Paul

He had a rotisserie for the first one but I think this build is in a different part of the shed.
Looking good Marty, love seeing your ingenuity and attention to detail as always.

Hi Paul, As Potter mentioned I did have one for the LJ. Couldn't do it properly with out one. Pillars and render still looking good. This system has created a lot less clutter around the shell (no big up rights and long joining steel)
had them checked had catarac's done and still can;t see propoly
It's just a seat on wheels. The LJ was done before I needed glasses, not sure if that'll make this one better or worse for seeing the detail.

Hi Dave, you can make anything. Just need a jack that moves freely on the floor.

Anyone who's sandblasted a whole car at their house, I take my hat off to you.
This is an absolute shite of a job and I'll do my best not to glamourise it.

Getting set-up for a boot blast. You need plenty of light, good quality gas mask, glasses and a shield which needs plastic tear-offs so you can keep a clear non sand blasted shield. In little areas like this you get smashed by grit. Most of the time you're just waving the gun because you can't see anything.

That is where wet blasting might be helpful.
Im going to find a wet blast attachment for my pressure washer.
And I was looking into buying a purpose built wet blasting set up.
Cost about 15k to set up including the trailer.
Would possibly make a nice little part time business as I slowly get back to normal.
Cheers
Rob
