Been pretty lucky all cars I have owned were/are reliable
- VL Calais, only owned it a few months before it was nicked but never any issues & all electronics worked
- LJ Torana, had to put in a reco trimatic after I bought it, but other than that just general maintenance, tyres & one battery and it was my daily for several years
- VX Berlina, had to do rear main seal on LS1 but otherwise just general servicing, tyres & one battery change. Was my daily, put about 100,000km on when I had it
- VF SV6 Wagon, only general servicing and not even 50,000km on it yet
Best car my parents had from new was an 86 Nissan Skyline, put over 200,000km on it, my brother & I both learnt to drive in it. Only sold it cause it cracked a head, but never any issues with it prior to that.
Worst car my parents had was an early Mazda 626 Wagon it always broke down when we were kids - I remember the radiator exploded one day sent the rad cap flying across the street! Another bad one they had was a UC Sunbird 6cyl, constant issues with brakes & overheating.
