Sorry to hear Mando. I take it that the cops have appealed through the media for dash-cam or phone footage from people in that area? It has worked very well for a few cases now. The bastards must have driven past other people, and most have some way of capturing the moment.

Hope it was properly insured for your sake too.

Cops are onto it.
Car was taken 3.42am Sunday morning.
Funny thing the car was there for about four weeks and was to go to the paint shop 9am the following morning.
The only reason it wasn't moved the week before was it was overcast / drizzling / raining all week.
Regards Mando.

Shit, makes me sick thinking about those rats touching your car. I know a few owners on that road. Also worked for the business directly at the back of the blasters. Also sent my car there around 2004. The owner is a car person as well. Not much lighting in that area. Did the cops ask around for CCTV ? I havnt been down that area for a while. If still there, I know the guy on opposite corner (GM Cranes) across the road (Morgans Cranes) little up from them Lusty EMS and Directly behind the (Active Lifting). Can give you there names ? refer myself and ask if they have CCTV. I hope you get your car back. Its getting harder to hide cars like these and Adelaide is a small place. I will keep my ears open. I don't talk to low life scum, so chances I wont hear anything. Good luck Mando

Cars gone for good.
Bought a new hatch from WA over the weekend. The car was a shell and owner had stripped the paint so there wouldn't be any surprises.
I'm not keen on starting the mockup from scratch, but one thing I wasn't happy with my last car was that the engine bay
have been smoothed over. This car is completely original with the engine bay untouched.

Sorry to hear Mando but good to hear there is an upside
Prob be worth throwing in here if you have resigned to the fact that its gone - any identifiers , tag numbers, chassis number etc
Or may come across a set of tags that someone may be unloading down the track
There is a record then and one day you may never know
May also help someone who may be looking at buying a stolen car then pumping $$ into something that is not technically theirs
Good luck with the new project

Hi Guy's,
Stuart, no luck finding the car, cops gave up after fourteen days.
Swarbs, I have the tags, but if you had a crapped out hatch and the the matching tags, it wouldn't take much to cut the chassis number out of the engine bay and weld in the
number from another car.
You have yourself a mint rust free hatch.
Even though my old car has features such as exhaust brackets / booster mounts position altered / cut tunnel / humps in body to allow 21/2" exhaust to go over the diff,
it would take much so nobody recognises the car.
Even if they found it today, the car does not belong to me anymore and would go to auction.
Regards Mando.
