A foot note to the paint, Daimon is a Diesel mechanic by trade and a self taught painter. The work speaks for its self.

Fantastic stuff Harvey. Inpspiring as.
My freshly painted hatch is a few hundred km away and I can't get my hands on it due to Melbourne lockdown. Feeling very jealous right now hahahaha.

I picked up the car today and had a few well wishers, my other brother Chris brought along his super sedan race car he is building and a neighbour's CV8. It was nice to get it home and off the trailer. ( soon i'll get it to a decent ride height )

Now the hatch is home I've been busy. I installed all the items i could on the fire wall and then installed the drive line from under the car. I've posted some pics of the bonnet hinges they are from Bliss Engineering (I got them at summernats 2018) They are as well made as they are beautiful. The clutch set up is also installed now before I put in the steering column. I have also plumbed in the heater lines. I'm loving every minute!!!

I've had a mate come to the workshop to help with feeding the engine wiring harness through the fire wall. With that done I could bolt on some filth. Then pack up for another day...

^^ What he said!
It's a shame Edelbrock didn't make those covers just a little wider to cover the injectors as well, not the rails, just the squirters.

I know what you mean Andrew. They are the best match for the manifold and I think they give it a big block look.

It would be an interesting project to make a custom set of those covers, turn the coils on their backs and have the 4 plug leads come out of the centre of the covers so it looks like a Hemi...
I reckon that would have some people scratching their heads!

I have installed the sound deadening mat before I start the wiring, Areoflow make a new product that is easy to work with. The wiring is under way and I have ordered the roof lining so the glass can go in soon. I'll put the diff and fuel tank in this weekend.

That sound deadening material is really good at holding wires in place too. I have used it in tricky to get to places up under the dash and it has never let go.
I would be tempted to use a little bit between your main wiring looms heading to the back of the car and the clamps.
After a few years of vibration, they could wear through the insulation. (Hmmm. I shoulda been a rappa!)

I'm finishing the underside plumbing before I put in the tank and diff. My engineer wanted protection for the fuel lines at the lowest point so I made a bracket from some RHS and fitted it. I have installed the lower fuel pump bracket and now we are ready

Great work, everything looks neat.
The finish to the underside looks amazing.
