STEAM????? Why that is practically nuclear fission compared to the gas producer I'm building! 
It would actually be interesting to see what the tailpipe emissions would be from burning sticks. The guy who invented the road train, Kurt Johannsen, was still using one on his car until the 1980's. He never paid for petrol in his life.
