Just wondering if anyone is making or has parts for a Lucas battery top?

This is the unicorn you are looking for. The bottom pic is a brand new LC. The battery is the same as the top one, but looks a bit narrower.  The batteries that you bought from the dealer I think were the black ones with the GM logo on them.

The old tar top battery. My father had those in the 50-2106, FC and EH.

That one was in the 1958 "Accelerator" magazine.

In '72, the dealers had the black battery, but with a GMH sticker rather than the GM sticker we see on ebay nowadays.

Not quite what we are looking for, but getting close. These guys are making stickers and glue on tops to make batteries look old. The fire extinguisher sticker is pretty cool too.  There was another thread in here on batteries that this should be linked to, but I can't find it.

Look up Weskar on Belgium Ebay.   https://www.ebay.com...n=weskcar&rt=nc

The Lucas tops are being 3D printed in Melbourne. Someone from the Victorian Monaro Club may be able to point you in the right direction.

The guys from Stickthisdecals told me they would have a battery topper for Holden / Torana very soon.

They make a very good battery sticker for HX / LX that I haven't seen anyone else do yet.

https://stickthisdec...featured&page=3

BTW the Weskar toppers from Belgium are too big for us.

I can measure the larger battery caps for you Martin, I took the photo of the Lucas battery that Laurie put up in post 3 of this thread.

It's in a mate of mines garage, I've been trying to buy it off him for years but he won't sell!

I'm assuming you have the dimensions off the smaller XU-1 battery caps?

Did anything ever come of any of this? I never heard anything back from my email I sent to the Monaro club. My 9 year old Delkor battery just died, so I’m up for a replacement.

I've made a mould and poured a few caps. Just no pics of them.
