Hi guys. Just wondering if anyone knows what these rims are. They were on my 11/69 LC GTR when I bought it way back in 95. (disregard the centre caps I put them on as they had no caps)
They have no markings other than stamped inside 6.JKX13 11/69
3053 D
They are steel not aluminium.
I took them off when I fitted up sprintmasters. Found them while cleaning up all my bits n pieces.
Any help would be awesome! Thanks.

Cheers Dattoman. I haven't seen anything like these even back when I first bought the LC.

Aren't they Tasman?

We had one as a hose reel on the side of the house when I was a kid.

Yep I thought they were Tasman.

I had a set of 14s on a HT

Never knew they came in 13s

I thought they looked un real at the time. My front springs were standard height and I had pump ups in the rear pumped up maximum height with Tasman 14 x 6s all round. What was I thinking

Yeah 13x6 bit unusual. Wonder if they are worth schmicking up or not. The one pictured is the best of the 4. Anyway thanks for the input guys was just curious to what they were. As always great knowledge & help on this great forum 👍

ROH Rockets or Tasmans. I’d be interested in them if you want to move them on.

Keystone was another mob that did them. I think it was the Tasmans that had the raised edges on the spokes though.

I'm not convinced they're Tasmans. Very similar though. I owned a set of 14" Tasmans many years ago and they did not have the raised edge on the spokes.

I had a few here somewhere. They were in the scrap pile behind the shed for a long time. I may still have them, will look. But I think they went on a body I took to scrap and these were on it to roll it. They were Holden pattern 14x6 IIRC.

Initially I thought they were Tasman Mags, definately came in 13" by dad had a set on a FC when I was a kid.

Not so sure now, are the centres alloy or steel? if alloy would be rivetted to the rim, steel I imagine welded.

I thought all Tasmans had a alloy centre rivetted to the rim.

Theres a set for sale on E-Bay, on closer inspection it appears 2 different sets of rims with 2 the same as yours.

https://www.ebay.com...i0AAOSwJFFcoJaH

If I ever had an old holden I'd like a set but only for show I hear the centres were prone to seperating from the rim

especially now with age.

They are a magnesium alloy centre with steel lugs cast in to the ends of the spokes. These are then welded in to a chromed steel rim.

I have a set, actually two pairs, 13x6 and 14x7 for that 80s pro-stock look. The rims are f**ked and need replacing.

After a bit of digging around I would say you are right. In fact, after an hour of googling, I can't find another set like Tony's in the opening post.

The Hustlers were made by Cheviot, and they looked more like a Dragway 5 spoke Neil.

Yes the bottom ones Laurie. They were advertised on Gumtree as 14" keystone cragars. When I got there I discovered they were bigs and little. The rims are rotten unfortunately but could be replaced. I'd rather a matching set of 13 or 14" so haven't done anything with them.

FB Delivery at Toowoomba has the ones in the first photo as well I reckon.

Thanks for all your input guys. They are aluminium centres riveted to the steel outers. The rims would need replacing one is really rusted. Not sure if they would be worth dolling up, I'll sit on that for a bit. Plenty of good posts above thanks heaps, I thought they might be a mystery bag, but unfortunately not a rare worth heaps of money mystery bag haha! Cheers guys.
