Harry did sell a LJ XU1 1/72 painted black sometime in 1975 and in march 1976 the same car received a 308 NT#### block.
Cheers
Agree to disagree, the article in AMC magazine about the 24 Prime body is missing one owner also.
So the Black xu1 we are taking about is the same xu1 24 prime body in the two pics one from you one from me correct?
The ad for the Black LJ XU1 1/72 was in THE AGE newspaper on the 28th of June 1975 and received a 308 NT3### on the 17/3/76 when 24 prime body was still at Brewster & Maddern Kyabram Victoria ...........Two different xu1's

When I saw the Cyan blue 150 car it had an Ian Tate built engine .
The engine pad was stamped with a JP number in a SMALLER FONT SIZE to that of what Holden used and stamping was not in the same standard position as normal.
A fair question to ask is - With the factory installed JP block long gone how do we know if the original JP block had one or two cast dates?

Fair enough, and who stamped and / or fitted the replacement block is their business .
From my side of the fence - I have one of those factory fitted dual cast JP blocks in my old Brisbane 8/73 bomb [ no well known documented mods ]
A genuine JP block with two casting dates with or without those well documented mods is not superior in any way to a genuine JP block with one casting date with or without those well documented mods at all.
