Hey all, couldn't get my Torana there this year as i was picking a valiant up today, saw plenty of toranas out and about was good to see!

Unfortunately the second day of ToranaWest - scheduled to be at the Curtin car show was pretty well cycloned out. Persistant rain meant that 490 cars expected turned into about a 100odd. And instead of a park full of Toranas we had 5. Although 2 were a9x.

Yes the weather was not good,
Saturday was a treat though, sorry we missed it, as we couldn't make it, Saturday,
Today we took a short drive from Busselton to Waroona , and unfortunately the weather was no friend there either,
Maybe about 65 vehicles , but wrapped up about 2 pm .

The guys from the north side of Perth left Tomato Lake to meet up with the southerners at Southbound B.P. where I intended to get drone footage of the two lots of cars merging together on the freeway. Unfortunately, with the cyclone on its way down the coast, it was way too windy to put the drone up, so after getting a few shots of cars rocking up at the roadhouse, I went to the Safety Bay overpass and took a few pics from there.

Peter nearly scrapped this car when he saw the body after having the paint stripped. I am glad he persevered with it as it looks a million bucks now.

What is underlying reason for their being so many Torana's over there? Mine money? 

It would have something to do with it, but most guys that I know have owned them for 25+ years, so they weren't quite so valuable back then.

The Sunday show at Curtain University was a total washout with heavy rain all day.  A few brave souls still got their Toranas to the oval though.
