Now that my LC is finished I thought it was only fair I built a torana for my lad. He's only 5 months old, so thought it would be fun to build him a torana inspired pedal car. For those not familiar with my LC, here is a recent pic.

I found and old steel body pedal car on gumtree for $100, missing wheels and few other bits, trip to bunnings and found some suitable wheels to get the frame rolling again.

Body was in pretty good condition, so light rub back and started the backyard paint job.

Don’t forget to bend the steering wheel so it’s offset!

Finished product. Forgot to take some pics along the way, but used some alloy steel bar which I bent up and polished for the bumpers, trailer reflectors for the taillights, GTR hat badges for the side badges. The shell already had a hole in the bonnet so figured a catch can filter sticking out would be appropriate.

You could do the wheels in aluminium silver & the tyres black, maybe even some redwalls. Looks pretty cool though, any kid would be excited to have 1 like that, i reckon. Good job.

This thing really deserves some nice deep dish go-kart wheels and a bit of a height adjustment.
