Hi apologies for a the new topic still have not worked out how to add photos to already started posts.

Attached  is the trim combination for the -60Y, can't really see the carpet but its the same as the bottom of the door trims, which apparently is the  colour Covert, I still have not worked out what the 1899 means in the trim code, but I believe its got something to do with the exterior paint although my Paint Code is 567-1594 Jade Green Metallic. the 6  means colour group and the 0 is the shade. and the Y means Vinyl/Cloth. 

 

As you can see from the pic there is 3 colours in the door trim and a different insert in the seat. Does seem to match LH manual trim chart, this car was bought directly off the showroom floor which might explain why it does not match.

Chamois vinyl with Raydo cloth trim inserts with Covert carpet. 

 

You can buy the chamois vinyl no worries. Raydo Cloth is NLA along with Covert Carpet. The nearest colour carpet is Buckskin.

Your door trims have Chamois Vinyl, Covert Golfball vinyl insert, Covert Carpet. They are correct for -60Y.

1899 is GMH code for a car painted Jade Green Metallic all over.

 

If it was two tone, say Jade Green Metallic with a Cotillion White roof that number would 1413.

Thanks Brad really appreciate your help. Where did you find the info on the Golfball insert, my catalogue does not mention the insert. Only mentions Covert, Black and Chamois in the trim code for the LH VD models. So can you confirm that Herringbone is the colour of the seat insert.

Hi Brad have found a guy called Tonys all trim in Melbourne who has the Raydo Cloth PH 0488020841 He is also on facebook with pictures of the cloth, haven't been able to speak to him yet.

Your interior is correct for -60Y for 74 through to Sep 75. 

 

If you can source enough cloth for the seats and they require re-trimming, then go for it. Cools Auto Trim can do the door cards. Knox carpet can supply the Buckskin carpet.

Your seat insert is Raydo.

-60Y in the LX range uses Chevron Cloth inserts. Which is often confused with herringbone. From what I have found 74-Sep 75 -60Y is Raydo cloth insert. After that -60Y is Chevron cloth inserts. 

 

Show your mother in law this pic of my seats and see if she thinks this is the herringbone she is thinking of.

Howie, great pictures, my Jan 75 SL/R5000 had that 60Y trim. Some say it became available in Jun 75 but it was a customer order in late 74 for mine.

Sadly my interior got changed to black and grey.

there is now a Raydo release in Flax so maybe 1 day it will be also made in the colour you require .. you never know
