Hi all, I think my Accelerator linkage is leaking. It’s a single barrel Stromberg on a 202 with manual transmission. Been kicking the engine over every other week and all was pretty good until the other day; engine started running rough and fuel pouring out of the bottom of the carby. A lot of fuel. Even with the engine off, pumping the accelerator produces leakage around where the the nut where accelerator arm link goes into the body of the carby. Is there an O-ring behind there that may have perished or is there more to it? Any ideas? I’m trying to post a pic but the file size is too big.
No O-rings on those single barrel throttle shafts. Sounds like you have an overflowing fuel bowl. Possibly some crap has gotten under the needle and seat and won't let it shut off 100%. You would need to take the top off the carby to access the needle & seat to clean or replace.

And before you take the top off, you can carefully unscrew the seat from the fuel entry point. The “needle” will fall out, and possibly some grit.

Doh, thanks Clay, been a long time since I worked on a single barrel strommie.
