253: Dead right mate.. AND jase ( and jadey of course!) take better photos than i could ever DREAM of!!

LH Musl: Any Australian Standards Approved helmet is fine to race with. Apparently they do have SOME helmets at teh track you can borrow if needed.

I'll be wearing my engien builder's open face helmet for teh day.
Cheers!

I got 2 diffs to choose from, a welded up 3.9 and a Fine Spline 3.08

Hmmm, I have 4.77 gears in the van. When I have some spare time, I'll get an LSD installed. Serious.

Has everyone organised their accomodation at the tea house??

I'd say that the rooms would be almost gone.. i know that any rooms we had held will be released shortly!

Better get in there fast!

I'm cheering.. I just got a new carby to put on the HQ.. so hopefully between that and the diff gears i might just get into the 11s wehre i hope to be!!

Bring it ON!
COME ON!!!!!

If they have tyre changing facilities at Heathcote, I'll happily change anybody's tyres for them. I won't be supplying tyres or rims. I'll also balance if they have a balancing machine.

Well cashage is gonna be a bit tight this year, due to only working 2 days a week so there is a possiblility I could be back on the stockies (with Arrow 75s) for the drag day. I don't wanna dip into my savings for new tyres till i pay rego and insurance in May. Theres no point having new tyres on a car i can't afford to pay the rego or insurance on.

So it could be fun getting traction. :tease:  :spoton:

Hey Guys.. If all things work out i'll have my stockies to do a little tyre frying too!

Should be top fun.. it's only the third time i'll have done some doughies!

If you havent noticed yet, jase ( Southo) isnt able to make it down to photograph the meet. He's let us have first dibs on his room, so if there is anyone else who would like to stay at the tea house with us... get in there FAST!

Thanks, and speak to you more when i get home!

Tiny.

How about creating a GHM-Torana logo with a blank point where we can add our membership id, to stick inside our cars, then every attending members car can be identified.
Would make it easy to contact each other if needed.
I will definately be their with my LX Hatch but only as a spectator & would like to able to identify other members cars.

Your thought's.

Another "idea"

How about if we arrange to meet somewhere on the Hume, say Kmart car park in Campbellfield, its only a few Ks to the new highway entrance and travel in convoy to Heathcote?

Now that would be something to see, 40, 60, however many Torana's traveling in a continuous line up the road and all arriving at the strip together.

Even send someone ahead with a video camera to record it.

2 WEEKS???????? YIKES. Surely it's longer than that!!!!! hahahaha

Man have I got my work cut out for me in the next 2 weeks then. If all goes to plan - get my engine back before next weekend, that way I can fit it that weekend and get it fired up. Break cam in etc. Then get enough km's rolled up to bed the rings in nicely, get it dyno'd and we'll be laughing. Still need to buy some E.T Street Radials too. My credit card will be on fire!!!!

Looking forward to it. Absolute, absolute worst case I don't make it, I'll race my hatchback instead, but I'm confident I can make it. As long as I get my engine back this week as planned!

Hey Tiny - how are we looking in terms of entrants? Remember everyone, Heathcote really want us to have a minimum of 30 entrants to run the day (since we have booked the track exclusively for us, no-one else will be there). I don't wanna rock up and only have 10 or 20 cars. Come on everyone, it's time to word up your mates, and lock them in. If everyone does that, it'll be a totally kick-ass day. More cars = more fun for everyone.
