And I've got annother car as a rolling shell with wild running gear all outside the car which I haven't assembled yet because I don't have all the 'little' bits and pieces yet or the time to do it.
If I get one car ready it'll be a good effort and a lot of night hours. If I get both cars ready, it'll be a miracle.
I think, after reading some of the comments that other people have made, we're not the only ones.

I may just put a 3.08 diff in and drive the torry up, the HQ wont be ready in time to trailer it up
I still have to send off the deposit for the room as well... they did ask for a credit card and i dont have one!

OK, How about we start meeting from 7:00am & depart around 8:00am.
This will get us their around 9:00 - 9:30 i guess.
Just need someone with a video camera to go ahead onto say the new Thomastown section a few minutes before us, i unfortunately do not have a video, any offers?
I like the idea of meeting at Kmart .... I'd take the video, but I don't have a digital Video cam...if anyone can make a copy to go onto CD from a Hi8, I'll do it. No wuckers.
So lets get an idea of those wishing to meet at Kmart (cnr. Mahoney's Rd and Sydney Rd, (Hume Hwy)) at say 7:00am for a 8:00am departure and the early birds can chew the fat.
A convoy of Torrys is always a good thing. 10-4, come back rubber ducky....

It's not a doctors appointment, dont panic, only need to be their when we leave. hopefully all together & any straglers can jump on the back as they catch up.id be up for meeting up, but not too keen on getting there an hr early! lol, i might just aim to be coming past for 7.45 or something... meaning i will have to leave mine at 6.45 lol
Ouch!
The good thing about travelling together, is if someone has problems, their will be plenty of help, i'm sure.

PS. I probably won't make it to the official cruise there - I always drive out the back way through Yarra Glen, Yea, Seymour etc. Love the drive, it's awesome, and it's the only way I actually know off the top of my head. If my car does make it (fingers crossed), I would also prefer to drive this way as it will be a very fresh engine still, don't want to just sit on the Hume at constant speed for all that time. If I go my way, I'll be able to vary revs more through corners etc. Will see what happens....
Spoke to my engine builder yesterday, bottom end is finished and back together. The rest is very close too. We're both crossing our fingers to have it finished by the weekend. I want to pick it up Sat morning, will start praying to engine gods now....

The day ends at 4:00, so should be on the road by 4:30 i suppose, back in Melb by about 6:00. Dont see a problem with your 7:00 party. That could be a goer. I think a cruise is a top idea.. i'm staying in town that night so wont be able to attend the cruise, but thats no big deal

I'll check the confirmations theread, and my spreadsheet and post up a list of eveyone confirmed shortly... Time to start inviting mates too! Lets get our friends out to have some fun and race against some torries!
Sounds like everyone is having the normal thrash to get their cars ready! Brett: How's it coming along mate?
Cheers everyone!
Tiny.

So meet near the main entrerance to Kmart @ 7.00 AM, not near one of the other shops in that centre? I'll be bringing a cheesecake and a couple of bottles of non-alcoholic drinks in the esky to the track. Anybody else bringing something to share? After reading some of the other comments, I thank God I've had two cars registered and ready for 4 months. No, neither of my UC's will be there. This latest project of mine has gotten in the way big time.So lets get an idea of those wishing to meet at Kmart (cnr. Mahoney's Rd and Sydney Rd, (Hume Hwy)) at say 7:00am for a 8:00am departure and the early birds can chew the fat.
