WOW more people coming! im Loving it!!! a cannot wait for this day, ill have to start counting the sleeps soon! i picked up my welded up 3.9 ratio dif of stedz on the weekend! this baby is going in just for the day and burnouts! then it dont matter if she blows, also got some spare axles in case!

By the looks of this its going to be awesome!! and get heaps attending! maybe pending on success we make it a yearly event!

Anyway i think its around 40days till summernats! so must be around 90 till this lol!!

Also im easy on Accom, Hotel or Caravan Parks! wateva everyone else wants ill be up for! just have to save some money!

can someone give me the gist of this day?

is it organised by the GMH forum members?

And there will be liek drag racing, burnouts etc...??

Hey Guys...

The whole Gist of the day is By the forum ( US ) FOR the forum (US!).

It will be a morning race meeting, on the Saturday with drag racing, and the use of the Burnout pad. We are trying to get as many GMH-Torana forum members to the day as possible, and then we'll invite others to race with/against...

I want to aim for around 40 GMH torana members racing, and another 20-30 other racers, so that we have about 60-70 cars on the day to race. That should leave it nice and relaxed but plenty of cars to race against!
We have the Sunday as a backup rain day.

Makka: If you could give us a list of hotels and caravan parks around that would be REALLY handy. I personally would like to stay in a reasonable hotel, just because of the distance we have to travel. I know that LXCHEV is the same, and a few others. It would be great to have a caravan park NEAR a hotel so that we can all stay close by and enjoy a night of the turps and a chinwag after the racing!

The day is open to veteran racers as well as complete newbies with everyone welcome no matter what car they want to bring! Ive got chopper down to bring his econovan and 830HP bringing his 8 sec drag car!!! should be an unreal day!

As for mates, at this moment in time, Weve not opened the gates to friends yet ( weve had HEAPS of members want to bring mates along), but as i said i we will DEFINITELY put out a call for mates of Torana people to come along in early January. I just want to give this forum the best chance at having a go, by leaving us as much time for all our members to sign up for the day!

Your mates will bemore than welcome when the time comes, It'll be great to have some other makes out there to race against! I'm sure this day will be a huge success simply with the ammount of GMH-Torana people that have indicated their willingness to come! Let alone bringing along mates!

i cant decide which car but ill be there its slowly gettin closer so excitin i cant wait
Which car will u have there 830hp? Your full drag car or a streeter?

Its understood that alot of people cant say for certain of theyre coming yet... and thats cool.

I'll put you down ( theres no set places per se) and note that its a maybe. And if you can let us know more firm closer to the date it would be great.

I'm trying to work out how the hell to trailer the HQ down! i dont think i can afford the fuel bill to drive down! LOL

just get him to join the site, then he will be a member and fit right in!! haha maybe us guys withs friends should recruit them to the site so then we get to know them a bit before they come along! just an idea

It would be great to have more members, but if he doesnt want to join the forum ( or cant) he'll still be welcome when we work out how many other people we would like to invite.

I'm sure there will be HEAPS of room for our friends to race with us, i just want to give us as much of a chance as we can!

Keep an eye out here for a call for names/numbers in early january.. that way we can get ourselves best organised!
