BTW, looking good,
just gotta do something about the first and last foot of the car :tease:

Hey makka... front is 365mm, rear 340mm, so I think it'll need 35mm rear and 55mm front....
I'll see when I put her in to get done.

Wow!! They're bright Keith!
Are these the lights you were working on?
Is there a special section in the New Thread about these?

Tim, you're an idiot. Knoath posted that pic to show his brilliant efforts in making the standard decent looking taillights look spectacular. You weren't supposed to say "yes those ones"; you were supposed to say "oooh i take back my previous comment".

They don't look spectacular. They look like UC taillights that've been tinted.

They look better than standard ones, yes, but theyre nothin spectacular. They'll always be UC Taillights.

The backing on my tail lights are in fact chrome at the moment.

RIM, there isn't much you can do to improve on the rear lights, so I figured if I tint them...they'd be harder to see... :D

Look forward to seeing what you come up with Keith!

Thanks for the kind words Heath. :spoton:

RIM, there isn't much you can do to improve on the rear lights,

Well, there is one little mod, turn em up side down, then the indicators are on the outside(someone got it wrong at the factory....fixes everything)......makes em look like an Lx/H. Did you also know that collisions into the rear enders into UC's are much lower than for other cars of the era, especially LH/X(call them the whiplash toranas) :stirpot:

^ Not following DA, please elaborate.

EDIT: BTW do you have a pic of your tail lights turned around? I can't imagine it would really make a large amount of difference... but I may be wrong.

Hmm, lets put it differently......perhaps the back of a UC isnt 10/10 for looks, but the alternative of walking around with a neck brace?..........(a higher probabilty if you have a loserx or loserh torrie)
Yes the colours have a great effect in reducing the size of a rear end......ask Serena Williams:nada:

Are you sure? That's bugger all.
You did measure it from the centre of the wheel....?

Well, there is one little mod, turn em up side down, then the indicators are on the outside

Devil's...I've seen that done before, but if you look closely at UC lights, they have a flat edge on the (in)side of the indicater section, and a slightly bowed (if you like) shape along the Brake/Tail (outer) side.
So when you invert them, they now have a straight edge on the outside and it just doesn't look right.... it looks like a cheap and quick mod.

Follow?

If I had skinnier tyres, I'd probably try for the same thing. That's insane. Gotta be one of the lowest Torries around...

Hi Dick, starting to look good there.

I think the difference between you car and Keithy's is, yours has the chrome molding, seems to stop the lights from looking stuck on, they seem shallower set? Sort of hides them?
My thoughts only.
