Anyone know a honest. reliable person who would do the ls1 conversion to a 6 cyl hatch around Wollongong?. Thanks.

I don't know the area but
Maybe call your local engineer and see who has brought cars in for testing, I think Fink engineering is somewhere near Wollongong or try local car clubs

Late reply, but if you haven't found anyone yet go and talk to Sean at Dapto Mechanical repairs(behind Dapto smash repairs) he does a lot of builds/conversions in there
