Hi. Turns out I have one alloy taillight back and one plastic.

Plastic is right for my LX. But the one I have is peeling the reflective chrome backing?

What do you recommend to repaint?

May someone wants to swap one alloy for a plastic or has two good plastic for sale?

Located in Central Vic

Thanks in advance

Dale

I assume you know repro units are available...

I can't believe neither of those companies bothers to explain whether their product requires the earlier alloy bucket or if they are the later all-in-one molding (and I can't remember myself). And neither company has a photo of these items from the back (err.. or is that from the front).

The repo bits are only the lenses, you need either the alloy or plastic base ( where the bulbs are) to screw to the lens

I don't remember the white plastic ones having a reflective coating on the reflector either, just plain white.

Generally LH are cast metal , & LX are plastic.

Neither is really reflective.

Thanks Statler. I will look for another plastic one to match what I have.
