Hi all, I'm after the opinion from trimers on the subject of should you paint the seat bases or frames & springs, or if you paint the springs will they bind up ? a friend is getting prepared to do his soon, so your directions would be appreciated. Apologies if this question has been asked before. Gary.

After 60 years the seat base and springs in my FB ute had minor surface rust on it. Big deal, no one going to see it. Just got it reupholstered and looks like new. The upholsterer did reinforce and repair the driver side next to the door which takes all the weight when you get in and out.

Hopefully some trimmers will come in it, so we hear their knowledge. Thanks for the replies so far.

Thanks Dave. Looks like the trimmers don't like to contribute themselves. I will tell him what you guys have said.
