Has anyone on here got a genuine L34 gauge cluster from a 75 LH that you wouldn’t mind sharing some photos of. Keen to see how similar or different it is to the one I have below.

Cheers

Steve

That's an LH SLR dash alright, with good patina.

According to Norm Darwin's book, the L34 option didn't change the cluster, so L34 optioned SLRs have the same cluster as say the regular SLR5000.

I would have possibly thought an L34 speedo would have MPH as well and also the tacho cylinder select switch. Is that deleted and just set up permanently for 4 cyl?

According to the LH Torana parts catalogue the L34 used the same tachometer as the 4cyl, which is a different part number to the 6 & 8cyl tachometer.

The L34 had a six digit odometer in the speedo.

This one has the tacho selection switch on the back for 4, 6 or 8 cyl.

I understand the MPH gauge is only on the early 74 LH’s, but could be wrong.

The 7-digit odometer was a 1975 thing wasn't it ?

An L34 should have an early 6-digit odo.

Thanks Guys

Were the L34’s only produced in a 1974 run? Hence the 6 digit odo.

The L34 tachometer does not have a selector switch on the back for 4,6,8 cylinder. I have one that is all that I have from my L34 that was stolen in 1984. It is for sale but only to a person thais needing it for a genuine L34.

As far as manufacturer date on the back of the cluster, the latest KPH / MPH one I have seen is May '74. These did not have the tacho switch. (Neither did the L34's) The odometer went from 6 window to seven window in July 1975. I am unsure when the tacho switch appeared.
