Dont know what happened in the prev post but here are the facts...my car was entered in the GENUINE CATEGORY at the Nationals and was awarded 2nd place behind another XU-1..... sorry to disappoint boys but the cars the real deal....just ask Joe Kenwright who inspected it on the Sunday arvo b4 the parade laps....

As for the controversial decisions.... all I can say is "winners and 2nd place getters are grinners...the rest can winge and bitch all they like but there is always next time.

PS; Met quite a few forum members whilst there Smiley,gtrxu1,2600S,LC70GTR, and a heap of other mainly north of the border boys. Had a great time.

AUTHENTIC - GENUINE CRITERIA

The method of judging for this group will be the same as for the Restored vehicles.

Criteria
* This categories is for vehicles that have undergone a minor or major rebuild but have the following differences.
* Paint and Trim may be other than the body plate information, providing it is in keeping with the period, but must maintain standard appearance.
* Engine and Carburetor can be other than originally fitted, providing it is of a Holden L6 design.
* The use of excess chrome is permitted.

AUTHENTIC - RESTORED CRITERIA

The method of judging for this group will be the same as for the Unrestored vehicles, does the vehicle have the original components YES or NO, but we will also have an extension to this to allow us to look at the condition of each part, this will have a weighting of poor, average, good, very good and excellent condition, so the car with the least number of NOs and the highest condition weighting will be deemed to be the winner.

* This category is for vehicles that have undergone a major rebuild or full restoration.
* Paint and Trim colours must match the body plate information.
* Must have the correct engine prefix, or factory replacement block.
* Components must match the relative production date of the vehicle, and be standard in appearance and specification.
* Genuine recognised GMH, Nasco and Dealer Only fitted options and accessories will be accepted at the judges discretion.
* NO points will be deducted for the use of non-original consumable parts such as tyres, engine belts/hoses, battery, filters etc, the use of original or reproduction consumables may be judged favorably, at the judges discretion.
* Use of modern paint technology i.e. 2 pac paint is allowed, Original style of paint, blackouts, stripes etc, relative to the particular model is to be observed.

830 i agree totaly the point i was trying make was it was a top day there were
some great cars.
was run well but as all things for the first time had some teething problems that i
believe will be sorted for the next one and make it even bigger and better.
modifyed may have been the wrong word but it was for genuine cars that arnt done
to original.
hope this clears up what i ment :spoton:

Hi Doublin green ...I forgive you for using the word modified in relation to my car. I entered the car in the Genuine category of the event after seeking advice on what class to enter and was told to go into the Genuine section as this best described my car. I must admit that the categories were a bit confusing and many of the cars possibly entered into the wrong section for judging but as you said it's only the 1st time it's been run by the club.

And as for you shaun(830hp) what are you sniffing???? If I could post a pic of my 175 strommies for all to see (LOL) Give yourself a quick uppercut .

By the way 830hp and Mondie stayed o/nite on the Thursday with me b4 we set off down the Hume to Penrith.....what a fantastic drive it was...do you agree Shaun???

cheers,
scooter :spoton:
