Heard a rumour that Toranafest was back on for 2023, so does anyone know if this is correct

74, you're still young mate, Danny might go if it's in Canberra, so you could catch up with him. Look after yourself, you've still got plenty of things to do yet !

Latest news that I know about is that the Toranafest committee will have a meeting in January 2023 and I should imagine that it will be decided then if Toranafest 2023 goes ahead

 

If that happens then for the Nationals in Canberra March 2023 I might only come over as a looker on the Sunday seeing how that the Nationals are only just over 2hrs from my place

 

This is because I hold Toranafest in the highest of regardSS and as I've been going there for the last 9 of them starting in 2008 AND it being a $600-$800 weekend for me, I cannot afford to go to both events

 

I've made a lot of friends at the Fest and I'm sure I will make more

Well, me thinks that Toranafest will NOT be on this year as we have the Nationals in Canberra on 11/12 March and then Torana Muscle on the Murray on 22-24 September of which normally that weekend would be the Toranafest weekend

 

I sincerely doubt if Toranafest would be put on that weekend so lets hope it will be back on in 2024

If Torana Muscle on the Murray is on every year it will all ways clash with ToranaFest?

That is correct but I believe Toranafest, Canberra Torana Club and Torana Muscle On the Murray will sort that out

Toranafest will stay as every 2 years as before starting from NEXT year and CTC and TMOTM will also alternate for also being biennial (every 2 years)

 

I cannot say for sure but I do know that these organisations were at some stage trying to work on that format

 

I don't think CTC and TMOTM would want to stop Toranafest from not going ahead and also move them from their usual date of 3rd weekend in September

 

I hope that this will be resolved in the positive
