Im thinking of ditching Shannons, the premiums are just out of control and the agreed values of the cars is not moving... Ill give LSV a call for a quote. I tried Enthusiast Insurance quote online and it was coming in at half the price of Shannons with the same agreed value?

Any one else I should try for a quote?

Currently have out House/Contents & 4 cars with Shannons, they wont insure our Caravan... It was handy having everything all in one, but I think they are just taking the piss now.

I changed to Enthusiast from Shannons for our Monaro. Wasn't half the premium though.

Did ya ring Shannons and express your dissatisfaction?  They may well reduce if you threaten to leave.... Changing insurers is like pulling teeth, likely by design..

i also tried lumley ins and he told me that they are not taking any new customers with muscle cars as they are reviewing there polocies, may be in 3 months they will review musclle cars again

so i will try rhno insurance  see what they can do   faaaaak me

Are you comparing one Insurance apple to the other insurance apple?

Do the apples have the same amount of seeds Johnny?
Do they taste the same, look the same, feel the same, or is there a worm in one?

Yes.   It's painful , but if you are comparing quotes you ready need to download the PDS's and sit there with a highlighter and go through them all and compare very carefully.

100% painful  and time consuming, but better to pay 1000 for good cover, than 700 for 1/2 arsed cover.  ( I am not referring to any particular company here, just in general).

Nothing worse than putting in a claim, and finding out then, that whatever it was you are claiming , is not covered/fully covered.

Too late to find out then.

Seem to have similar benefits when comparing shannons to enthusiasts, aka free windscreen, salvage rights etc. Has anyone got any feedback about enthusiast insurance?

Both those vehicles are set to no more than 1000klm per year. Which is about 950klm more than they will ever do.

Anyone have any claiming experience?

I had to make a claim about ten years ago through Shannons and they were excellent.

I am with you guys. Been with them for ever with 3 cars and house and contents and never a problem. Just had a house claim sorted, no cost at all, and just got my car arse ended and first thing they arranged was a hire car. All no fuss and no cost.

Mine has not moved. The Mini value does go up but the Torana has stayed at $100k for years, only the premium continues to increase.
