Got an issue with my wiper motor. It came with the car and looks new but when fitted it continues to spin.
I’ve checked the earth on the switch and the motor.
I’ve also pulled out the cog and cleaned it up.
What I did notice is that their is sparks coming out from under the cog when it spins.
Any help please?

Well the sparks don't sound like a good thing. I'm no expert here but I have a bit of a test to suggest...
1) Unplug the wiper motor, and get some test leads ready.
2) Connect 12V to the terminal the yellow/white wires connect. Leave this connected for the duration of the test.
3) Rotate the motor to a random location by grounding either the terminal that normally has the light blue (slow) wire OR white (fast) wire connected. Only connect this briefly... the motor should turn instantly and stop instantly when you disconnect. If you don't let it do a full and exact turn, it will stop randomly, which will allow you to test the "park" or "return to home" feature in the next step.
4) Now if you ground the black wire's terminal, if the motor is functioning correctly, it should send the motor back less than a full turn, and it should turn itself off and sit there doing nothing.
If the motor plays ball according to what I described, you've got some kind of wiring problem in your car.
If the motor doesn't play ball, that motor has an internal problem, probably to do with the contact rings. I don't know how to repair these but I gather they can be fixed.

Thanks Heath, I'll try this when I get home and I'll let you know.

Ok so when I put 12v onto the power and the wiper motor is earthed it spins non stop
I tried earthing the black wire (park) but it dosent do anything
I think it’s time to send to a pro 🙈

Oh, so irrespective of the position of the switch (when wired correctly) it literally just spins constantly if the ignition is on?
And then if you put power to it (yellow/white) and have the motor grounded, without grounding any of the other pins, it just spins constantly?
If so, at least you know it's not a wiring fault in your car. That motor needs attention, lol.

I'm no whizz but I'm pretty sure there is a "park" switch involved that has a tendency to break.
Might explain the sparks too if something has snapped off inside.

Yeh so if the wiper motor is plugged in with the original plug and it’s earthed via the brass strip then it turns but when using the switch in low or fast it spins slow and fast but it won’t park when the switch is off
Everything looks ok inside. Nothing is broken

This is usually the problem.
Replace the contacts assembly.
