I took a gamble and brought some from over seas and I think they'll look great. they have a Halogen bulb and have a separate bulb for the park break that should work. I will only have to make a slight alteration to the bucket to make them fit perfect, but other than that I think they will be fine. I'll try and add some phohos tomorrow. but I do plan to do a series on them when i do the rebuild.

As long as they were from a right hand drive market otherwise the lenses will be different ie suited to LHD

I have no idea what you mean!...LOL I did not know that there were lights for left and right hand drive. And would that mean you could just tun them upside down if they were from a right hand drive market?

Ok that is pretty foundational knowledge. Low beam dips down and to left kerb. Turn upside down they will dip up. Not really satisfactory.

You are obviously right... I'd just never given it any thought as I've never dealt with anything left hand drive before. It had never even crossed my mind, so I was missing that bit of foundational knowledge I suppose...... Anyway I will put them in the rebuild thread when I get to that part and see how they go.

Apparentlyfrom Wikipedia

COMPATIBILITY WITH TRAFFIC DIRECTIONALITY
Most low-beam headlamps are specifically designed for use on only one side of the road. Headlamps for use in left-traffic countries have low-beam headlamps that "dip to the left"; the light is distributed with a downward/leftward bias to show the driver the road and signs ahead without blinding oncoming traffic. Headlamps for right-traffic countries have low beams that "dip to the right", with most of their light directed downward/rightward. Within Europe, when driving a vehicle with RH-traffic headlamps in a LH-traffic country or vice versa for a limited time (as for example on vacation or in transit), it is a legal requirement to adjust the headlamps temporarily so that the wrong-side hot spot of the beam does not dazzle oncoming drivers. This may be achieved by adhering blackout strips or plastic prismatic lenses to a designated part of the lens. Many tungsten (pre-halogen) European-code headlamps made in France by CibiƩ, Marchal, and Ducellier could be adjusted to produce either a left- or a right-traffic low beam by means of a two-position bulb holder. More recently, some projector-type headlamps can be made to produce a proper left- or right-traffic beam by shifting a lever or other movable element in or on the lamp assembly.

Because wrong-side-of-road headlamps blind oncoming drivers and do not adequately light the driver's way, and blackout strips and adhesive prismatic lenses reduce the safety performance of the headlamps, most countries require all vehicles registered or used on a permanent or semipermanent basis within the country to be equipped with headlamps designed for the correct traffic-handedness. North American vehicle owners sometimes privately import and install Japanese-market (JDM) headlamps on their car in the mistaken belief that the beam performance will be better, when in fact such misapplication is quite hazardous and illegal.

I remember all this mattering when I was in England for a while.
Could buy stickers to put on your headlights when going to France or wherever.
Not a problem we think about in our great isolated southern lands

That is very much a thing. After buying an American car, I went through the triangles and waiting for RHD lenses thing and of course it's really obvious when you actually look at your light beam pattern when you are aiming your headlights.
