Hi all. I'm trying to put my cigarette lighter back together and can't find any old photos etc as to how it all goes together. Here is a pic of the parts and I suspect I may be missing something. Also not even sure if this is the correct type. Conversely is there a quick fix replacement one on the market. Thanks in advance. Cheers Ron.

Hold #1 in place. The small hole will locate to an ashtray screw.
Insert #5 into the dash., through #1
#4 should then screw onto # 5 , holding it all together.
I'm guessing $3 goes on next folowed by #2.
Fit the wire & i;m guessing #6 is the nut.

Thanks Col. I agree with your logic but I had a feeling I was missing a pin connection somewhere so in the meantime I bought a socket from Aaron "all auto recreations" which was listed as replacement for LX, among other models. It said it was a two pin style, which I presume meant 1+ve and 1-ve. Now I'm a bit confused as there are 2 middle pins and one on the chassis (which would be for the earth) as per the pic. From what I can see on the wiring diagram there is only one wire (brown) for the lighter so how is this wired up. To be fair to Aaron I haven't contacted him yet. Cheers Ron

The other pin was often used to easily power stuff like CB radios.
It was a handy power take off point if it was fitted.

Ok cool. Thanks for that Rob. So I could use it for the power source for the hidden aerial I have bought. Is there an issue if it exposed without being used? Cheers Ron

Finally got it all hooked up and dash in. The bit that I thought would be the easiest (crash pad) was the most difficult but got there. Light at the end of the tunnel, now I am just waiting to see which train is coming lol. Cheers Ron

Should be no drama with it being exposed.
But if you want a little peace of mind, just grab an insulated spade terminal and shove it over the unused tab.
Cheers
