Hi All,

The town down the road had a Holden show today... Unfortunately not much to write home about on the Torana front, as it was mainly older stuff. Not my thing but thought some on here might like some of them.....

I would be really interested to know if that brown on the HR wagon is factory. Never seen anything like it over here.

I'm petty sure it is.. I only say that as I was talking to the owner and he was talking about referring to photos he got from the original owner when rebuilding it.... However he may of course done his own colour... But it's not one I'd choose!... Lol

It's just over 1300hp.. So I'm sure it would make the EH van boogie!

My first thought was Royal Umber but looking at a pic of an EH in Royal Umber the HR does not look dark enough.

Great collection of holdens there. Thanks for the pics.

I know they are period correct, and can protect paintwork...but those mudflaps should all be removed and burnt. They totally wreck the lines of those HQs etc. IMHO.

If you are going to drive them, you have to have them at least on the rear. HJ-HZ sedan and wagon not so much but all HQ and HJ-WB ute, van, coupe and Statesman you need rear mudflaps due to the shape of the quarter. If you don't you'll have no paint left after a while. With the cars with black sills the paint is easily repaired so fronts not so critical. Have a look at the rear quarter exposure on that HQ SS and compare to the EH's.

Just the paint colour and the seat trim.  I've got that same roof rack hanging up in the shed.

Royal Umber looks like one of those colours that changes a lot depending on the light Dave.
