Thanks Heath I finally got one :spoton: . Shall start a project thread on her in the next few days. She's not what I started off looking for (e.g. requires more work than planned) but you got to take what you can get and I fell in love as soon as I seen her.

I'll take homework into account = won't nag any further just yet and will keep checking thread in the hope that somewhere amongst the Corey Sunglass pictures and you fellas perving on minis (hello people she doesn't have a Holden :tease: ) there appears an acctual update.

Don't worry Heath, it's been around 2 years since I've made any real progress on the Drag UC. But I think my excuse is a bit better than yours. :tease:

How many repairs do you have left to do? I am wrecked from painting all weekend!

i cant see it being painted by next weekend. at least to a half decent standard.
dont want to be the bearer of bad news, but there was still a lot of prep work to be done before then. it will be even more evident once you wet sand the primer.

so...how about those springs?

Yeah I don't think it will be done to an excellent standard but that's part of the learning experience... I am happy to come back and fix up where I went wrong. That is the main advantage of acrylic. I am not sure that I will paint it this weekend... but I would like to.

Will see I suppose... I finish at 12:30 on Wednesday and Thursday so if I see it coming along well, there's no reason why I shouldn't be able to get the prep to a level that I find satisfactory.

Dunno when the springs will go in lol

 A progress pic

Good to see her getting somewhere. You've inspired me whatching your build I've decided I'm having a hack at doing some of the hatch myself (how much I do remains to be seen and painting won't be on my list of have a go tasks) rather than just paying someone to do it all like i did with the LH. So keep it coming Heath.

I know the way you are thinking Heath, i was the same when i was 17 and just wanted the car finished.... Mine came out pretty good, it was good enough for local car shows and all my mates and most people i know thought it was great! Everyone is more forgiving when you tell them it was your first attempt and you did it yourself!

Now the 2nd time around i think i have done a HEAPS better job than before (It also helps that i fixed most of the big problems a few years back...) I know its still not perfect (I havent done a 4 year A'ship to become a professional) But its going to do me good for the next few years until i can afford a good 10g to spend on a paint job!

Good Wheels, Stance, Interior and styling can make an average painted car look great!

Keep up the good work mate, it will be good to see some colour! Have u got the colour yet?
