At the moment I am just spending a fair bit of time on the car and seeing how it comes along. I'm sick of not meeting deadlines. There is a lot of work ahead of me and there are a lot of things I could have and should have done much better, and there are things that I cannot do that need to be done. But right now I have a decent attitude and pretty good amount of motivation because it's starting to look like a car again, very limited by time though. I wish I had no Yr12, no friends, no parties, no alcohol, no girlfriend. etc, then the car would be done. But life is good so I can't really complain can I? The sooner I get a fuel pump sorted for my car and get it running, the sooner I will feel really good about it. Nothing sucks more than a project that can't even move under its own power...

Good stuff.
Now about those pannel gaps. Holden never had them perfect or anywhere close to begin with, but you can use shims & washers to get them better aligned. If your not building a show car they don't have to be perfect, just good enough nothing is rubbing away paint.
I had to grind a bit off the lower tailgate on my Panel Van to make it fit 100% as somewhere in the past my pano has been fit with new rear quarters, and either them or the tailgate was 3mm out from a nice fit. Nothing the grinder didn't fix.

I spent a fair while looking for a good door to replace my damaged drivers rear door, so i sorta know what you mean. Took about 3mths of looking to find a half decent nose cone to fix up & drivers guard as well. Guard doesn't have any rust in it, was a good find, but a very small amount of filler........
Keep working at it, you will have it looking sexy in the end!

This is why you need to buy a ute or a Panel van. Can't have as many passengers & it can haul your parts for the other projects around

Yeh, Get a HQ Tonner!!! You will love it mate!!! Utes are great!
Then do the torry up for when you get off your P's! Dirty big V8, All the bells and Whistles!
What about a tonner or a pano with a 5lt V8 on LPG? ( to keep the cost down ) It's a work vehicle & tows a trailer so you "need" the V8.

ROFL. I think a pano would be cooler than a tonna, you can throw the matress in the back & nick off for a cheap w/e away, and it can still haul your car parts & tow a dirty big trailer. ( if you fit the tonna springs )
But then again, we are distracting Heath from finishing his torana, so i don't know if all this talk of tonna's or pano's is evil or not??

Cheers
