...polish it up, tyre black n stuff then take her out for a photo shoot, I look forward to that

lol you're not the only one

I prefer it with the chromies but the black stockies and whitewalls are kinda cool. Problem is though the inside of the guards have green overspray and the thing is sitting like a 4WD so it looks like shit atm

I am so sick of working with these front panels. It seems like every time I go to work on em, there are no clouds for the whole day and I just get hot & bothered.

haha I did today when I realised that I will actually have change from my grant after insurance for the rana. No complaints there, I had a lot of luck today :)

To even it up I will probably write it off tomorrow on its maiden voyage.

Love it!

Elaborate on this Maiden voyage mate!!!!

How is this beasty going???????

haha yeah tomorrow should be the first time I get to drive her anywhere.

My gearbox's stability is a bit questionable... so I don't know if I'll get 200m down the road and decide that I'm gonna take her home and pull it apart and find out if there is a problem or not.

But yeah U.V.P. starts tomorrow and i've organized with a bloke at an exhaust joint that I'm gonna bring it in and get the exhaust completed because it's kinda overly loud at the moment.

So I've gotta get up early and actually put some of the car back together hehehehe

In other news... I've been working very hard on the car non-stop (like flat out) for the last 2 or 3 weeks. But I can't actually think of exactly what I have done. I've been doing electronic stuff, and I bought my plates, but I can't really think of things that have been finished exactly.

The car doesn't look any better than it did earlier on.

Hmmm, well I did a bit of work to the front guards and got them on the car at least. Fixed up a few issues but they are still very mediocre. They will stay in primer for a while probably...

I made a boot release mechanism and spent heaps of time installing that how I wanted it to look, but even that is still not FINISHED

Pretty much installed everything in the car that is electrical, and had issues with it, and got it working properly but I've still got some problems, like with my dash

Painted the inside of my tubs

Installed some bling and realised that all my mirrors just flop down against the door skin :(

Yaaaaay !! Im not the only forum member with Woodridge 2 pak on the front end :spoton:

Good luck with fixing up the bits and pieces mate.

Chris - Heaths car doesnt look dissimilar to my UC at the moment so I think I win the Ugliest Car in history by virtue of the fact that mine is actually an ugly car (UC). Paint you front end in primer and you may be able to challenge me to the title. :P

Good work mate! Once you have it registered and driving... You'll find it easier to finish it off, as you will have heaps of inspiration from just driving it!!!

When its registered, bring it up to my new place in Upwey, and we can talk Torry's, I'll have a few beers, and you can have some cokes so your ok to drive home! LOL

Now I can!

In other news, the car went where I wanted it to go with no dramas, but it isn't running that great (has bugger all power and the idle is kinda ridiculous). I am not happy with the steering, or a lot of other things for that matter, but the steering is the main thing so I better start working on that.

Midas wanted $250 to put a flanged tailpipe on my car, even though I already had the hoop and the tailpipe, they just need to be 'adjusted' (re-cut) and welded on. Can somebody point me in the direction of a good exhaust place, locally?

Heath,

I'm hoping the BBQ is what happens to the tyres, not the engine! Glad to see it's running & i'm sure you will find the inspiration to finish it now. Because it will be so much cooler finished!

Regarding insurance - i have mine for $10k laid up atm, you should get your beasty finished & up it's insurance, it would be damn hard to replace it quickly with another good one for under $10k!

Cheers

ToranaGuy

Yeah they said when I paint the front end and fully assemble it, I should call up and they'll up it to 10.

I've got a fuel problem I believe, and obviously my ignition is not overly fresh. Lots of things to do...

BTW Jay the 'BBQ' thing is a bit of a polyseme. The main meaning of which is the point that the car will only run on LPG (or 'barbecue fuel!?' for the petrol purists hehee), but yes it obviously relates to a bit of burning clapped out VNs off the lights and frying the rears.

'Midas Car Care' sucks arse, I found an exhaust place that gave me a good quote. Gotta drive to Clayton for it but they have a good reputation and very reasonably priced :) Will give feedback after the work is done
