lol cheers guys. Yeah I dunno how long the workshop has looked like it does now... pays to be good friends with any teachers in a tech area. It was the same when I was at school too :spoton:

Liam that's kinda all I can afford to give out at the moment, but if you and a few other people want them, I will knock up a few more in good time.

Well I made the knob specifically for M8x1.25 thread which i had to cut onto my shifter as well, with an appropriate counterbore for the change in diameter (and at the depth i wanted to make it sit at the right height in relation to where my shifter ended) etc etc, and that much material is kinda expensive. Kinda a few variables

If I had the workshop I wanted at home it'd be a different story lol, but at least this stage i'd say no.

At last I bit the bullet and tried my IRS springs, even though I was sure that they would just make the rear tyres rub non-stop. I was very suprised by how little they lowered the car, but really happy with the amount. It wasn't sitting flat, so it probably lowered it half an inch on one side and about an inch and a half on the other. It sits nicely through corners now, and rides beautifully in general. Because they are decently hard as well, the combination of them and standard swaybar seems to do an adequate job of keeping it sitting flat, and it barely goes down so it doesn't rub now!

Unless you wanna drag-race, I would recommend them for sure. I got mine for free but normally they would still cost bugger all (go to any garage that lowers clueless P-Plater's commodores and they should have sets lying around lol). Takes 10 minutes with an angle grinder to make them fit and about 2 hours to put them in if you've never done it before.

It has made me realise how badly I need to do the front end, from both an aesthetic and a handling point of view :P

This picture doesn't really show it, but i posted it anyway

The stance is fine,Heath.
Paint your front.
Even if your guards are RS,push some bog into them and paint em.
If you need money, maybe we could each sponser a 100mm square of painted front for $5 a square.
I mean,I just gave the salvos 20 bucks this arvo to help stop the local junkies from dying in the streets.
And painting your car is a GOOD cause......

Would this be a tax deductable charity do you think?

Went and bought rana a new console insert from Rares

I turned up another boot collet to match the gear knob. Looks factory, and actually sits on the shaft of the shifter nicely, obviously the one that came with it wouldn't suit the diameter of my shaft; it'd just loosely flop around, where as this is made to fit.

I had one of the horn pads I made CNC engraved, and both the horn pad and the shift knob were anodized clear to protect the surfaces. In the pic you can see a printout of the CAD design I made using Aspire. I then blacked in the engraving for a bit more contrast
