In fairness, he has been saying for some time that he was just waiting for better weather. Good to see some progress!

the amount of posts on this forum will decrease dramatically if the front gets painted!!!!
whats gonna happen without the 397 "Paint the front" posts each day?
ps will be good to see the final product

The weather turned good almost a fortnight ago, and I knew it was coming. Nine day's work have been put into these panels in the last fortnight  I am such a slow worker *sigh* and I am still not happy with the panels at all but I am so sick of them not being painted..

The fall was between the shot in guide coat and the shot where I have painted the black and are masking for the green. I didn't get in photos since green went on obviously.

Ahhhh, So you haven't let the fall get to you? And you are still soldiering on? Good to hear!

So the guards are Green now? What about the drivers door? That just needed a good rub back and spray of green?

It still got to me, but whenever you do this kinda work, shit gets thrown in your face and I wouldn't have anything to show for the time I spent getting my guards into primer AGAIN haha

Haven't touched the driver's door or the bonnet yet - yes that is all it needs - I would like to respray both of those before the Autobarn show, but I've got lots of other shit to do first as well. Will see how we go :P

That isn't very nice Rob

For serious uleh, the front of my car is painted. doogs is on uni holidays so he cruised around today and worked on some of his KE20 Corolla panels while I did some work on my own stuff obviously. When he wasn't too busy I got him to give me a hand with moving awkward shit around and masking etc, thanks mate!

Ohh and he managed to get a few happy snaps of me spraying too :spoton: haha

This is doogs doing some masking before I did a colour blend on the leading edge of the front doors

Ohh and here's the SL/R 'smile' that a few questions were asked about. Or at least this is my interpretation of it
Posted Image

By the way, both of our cameras are terrible with the colour! haha it looks nothing like either of those pictures

Ohh yeah and if we get some decent weather on Sunday or the like, I'll pull the bonnet off and respray that, then once I put it back together I'll be ready for the Autobarn show :)

lol you guys are arseholes. :spoton:
I think starting bandwagons in this thread should be a bannable offence.

Yeah it's the original colour of the car, I didn't like it when I first bought it but it grew on me, even though mine was kinda faded and crappy. After going to some carshows and seeing Martin's L31 for example (pictured below) and a few others, I thought I'd stick with it
Posted Image

Pressure pack was matte black for the hidden areas, the proper blackouts (SL/R smile and bonnet surround) were all done in Protec acrylic gloss out of the gun like the green stuff :P
