Yeah if I look at it from the left hand side I grow a huge uncontrollable smile. If I look at it from the other side, I quickly turn away and run hahaha

Still it looks pretty average straight off the gun - even though most of (all but the bonnet) it is awesome for off-the-gun acrylic, it will be so much better when I can actually cut it back and buff it, and the panels really need to be played with a fair bit to even be respectable... I might try and chuck some washers in there and see if it improves it, but they just aren't very compatible :(

Still got lots of work to do... did a big CarDomain update today btw, incase people wanna have a geeze over the whole project without reading 50 pages :)

That, Heath, is one of the most inspirational photos I've ever seen posted on this forum. Congrats man, all of the hard work has paid off. Now all you've gotta do is drive the sucker. Lots.

Mine shouldn't be too far behind... Done by Christmas, dunno which one though.

Nice work Heath!

Rare to see a flareless torry look so good Posted Image , must be the wheels.... i love the look of those old chromies with heaps of dish : )

That other green torry (Martins?) seems familiar too, i think i was asked if i wanted to buy it when i was like 15 years old or something. Could have got it for like 2 grand maybe, im can't remember much details but i do recognise that car...

Thanks for the positive comments guys. Bit of a change from most of the shit in this thread! haha

Was great getting it out with the other beasts this morning. A lot of the cars were making me feel like the work I'd done was completely insignificant, and then you start talking to people and realise that they didn't do any of the work themselves, hahahah that makes ya feel nice and warm inside.

Bring on my BBQ'ing conversion anyway, had a few plays off the lights with my mate Stew in the XB GT on the way home and it made me remember how badly the car is running like arse. Can't wait for power!

Congrat's Heath

Just checked it out on the Vic GMH Torrie show day and it looked good in amongst all the others -- stand tall and be proud :spoton:

Thanks for the build -- the laughs through it have been worth it
Love the chromies as well -- you don't often see them on the road anymore

(Psssst --- get some centre caps for the rims)

That coating of Rain, really helped hide the un-polished (POLISH THE FRONT!!!) front...

Looked great yesterday! Just needs some nice 15" wheels i reckon!

Nah just needs an extra inch out of the front end I reckon. I thought it was at the right height but I don't think so any more... if the wheels look too small it means it's sitting too high
