Are you going to make a mount to fit the spare wheel or dont you carry one around.

I think Mick's got him sorted with and old roof rack, some hay band and a foot or 2 of No.8 fencing wire.

I don't carry a spare tyre atm but I might set one up... not sure yet. Could just weld a threaded stud onto the underside of the boot floor and use a nut to hold the wheel up on it...

In most parts of Melbourne I can just call up a local torana enthusiast friend and say "hey mate meet me round the corner with an inflated stocky" lol

Heath,

my dad made a bracket for a modified Hilux spare wheel winch and we mounted it under my LJ where the fuel tank used to be. Might be an option for you?

Just fitted some carpet up to the boot to fit around the gas hose and thought it looked neater so I grabbed the camera out. I've been meaning to get some better photos of the system all in place. And yes I'm fully aware of how badly the engine bay is letting the car down - I'll deal with that soon...

Oath mate, that looks great.

Hows that boot cable going for you? Neat install.

Ive said it before, and I'll say it again; all that effort and time you put into this car has really paid off.

Boot cable is fantastic, only problem I've had was I was a bit careless when I mounted the solenoid under the back seat and I had a bit of a shorting problem. Once I wised up to what was going on (after 3 fuses hehe) I fixed the problem easily and it's been completely trouble free. Had a few compliments about it whenever I open the boot

Cheers guys

Probably one of the shittest repairs I've ever done but as you can tell the engine bay isn't a huge priority, and progress is progress regardless :P

God damnit!!! lol

I spent some time yesterday just going around the car doing little paint touch-ups where things have been scratched during the assembly process etc. And I've cut back the bonnet and I'm polishing the front end bit-by-bit, it's a fairly slow process with no power tools haha good exercise though.

tintr also did up a spare rear screen I had with 30% film, haven't put it in the car yet but that should look cool.

Also bought a HEI dizzy off coupe202 yesterday, hopefully I'll get that on pretty soon as well, as the ignition system on the car performs like arse until the revs increase significantly

You will love the HEI dizzy when you get it running. :D

I've got a full spare set of non tinted glass to compliment my tinted glass, not sure what % the tint is but it's pretty dark. I had it fit before i stripped mine, but these days i doubt it's legal. I guess i'll find out when i re-assemble it lol.

Can't wait to see some pics of the whole car all polished up!

Cheers

hey heath, how did you do your white walls? did you get them done professionally or do them yourself...and how?
i have heard that on tyres with the raised white lettering you can strip back the top layer of black rubber on the side wall and that there is a white strip underneath exposing what is a white wall. did you do that?
