Hi Legends,

Can anyone please tell me what pattern a 308 needs to be to be mates to a celica 5 speed gearbox?

Have a look at what bellhousings Dallow or Castle Main do. That will tell you what block they will fit. I would expext both holden and turbo housings would be available at a guess

In some cases where the clutch mech attaches using two bellhousing bolts you need a manual block, but otherwise it doesn’t matter. CRS bellhousing is often a multi fit anyway. The clutch mechs that use bellhousing bolts are V8 Torana and HX through to about 7/78 HZ V8.

The only bellhousing I have for steel case to holden V8 is trimatic pattern.

They are almost always too thick on that bottom RH side bolt so won’t work with Torana or HX clutch mech. You have to modify/destroy an original clutch mech or convert to hydraulic or cable.
