You had to relieve the roller rockers Bruce? I’ve been half following this I have to admit, but can’t see myself going down the big cam path. Interesting topic none the less and good to read some grass roots red six discussion.

I wonder about the rocker ratio increase versus having the corresponding lift profile in a bigger cam, in terms of durability, effort and cost. I’m assuming the performance and efficiency would be near enough to identical.

Yeah had to grind out a bit on the inside to clear at full lift
Too tight to buy a new set

Thanks mate,

I did the whole black sharpie thing to measure my contact patch about 20 times and think the ink was too runny or sticky something as didn't get completely repeatable results, just tried a few different methods then and used a fluro highlighter, turned it over a few times and in the right light could actually see the witness marks from the last year of running in the metal, and they are only about 0.5mm wide which seems pretty good.

Seem to learning and double checking a whole bunch of stuff in this process which is great.

From what I have been reading, .5mm is good
Others are talking about twice that being acceptable

Glad you bought this up, I have been enjoying learning something new myself
