Hi All. I found this bush in the bottom of a box of parts from my Hatch teardown. Does anyone recognize it and where it belongs? The internal diameter is 6.3mm or 0.25 inch. CheersAttached File  20230811_105407.jpg   292.39K   8 downloads

Is it off a window regulator where the end of the arm rides in the track?

Yeah I thought it may be the brake pedal pivot bush but diameter? Item 6 in the pic.  If it is you should have 2 of them. one either side.  Cheers Ron

Is it part of the park brake assembly? Release mechanism component perhaps.

...and I expected a recent pic of "keep running up that hill" Kate !

6.3mm would be about the size for a door hinge pin ?

Thank you arrimar, you are correct. It is indeed the park brake release rod bush. Must have fallen off during storage.

Thank you all for your input and apologies if I created unrealisic expectations with a poor choice of words for the topic.

Cheers.

Found the final resting place for the bush. It sits in the dash panel supporting the park brake release lever as it passes through the dash.

So the release lever has 2 bushes - one in the dash and one in the park brake mechanism.

I realized this after another member here put up a dash pic recently.

Pic attached.

Cheers
