Hatchback Rear Seat Retract Options

My engineer has advised due to increased horsepower I need to upgrade all outboard seating positions to retractable lap sash on my LX Hatch.
Looking at the space I could remove a little seat foam for space, but I'm doubtful the geometry will work.
I can't use a traditional parcel shelf retract as the moment it's installed it wont be drawing in the correct direction to work right?
Any experience or advice?
Cheers
Tom

Hi Mowie. Pretty sure i have seen a thread somewhere where the retractable belt was mounted on the rear above the inner wheel well. That solved the outer seats and I think the middle belt was deleted. Will see what I can find. Just found a pic. Now to find the thread. Cheers Ron

Here's some more pics but can't ascertain who the author was. I suspect it is in someone's build thread. Looks like they were deciding between the two locations at the time. Someone will know. Cheers Ron

I'll check with the engineer to determine if this is suitable. I definately like the fwd upper wheel well location though not sure on clearance to rear seat. Not ideal though as my interior is done.

Not my car... I retained the standard style seatbelts.
