Hi Guys

Rebuilding a K Frame to take the LS.

Anyone know where I can source a new set of mounting bolts?

I'll try to have a scrounge around and see if I can find any next week. But I'm not hopeful.

I wonder if you could buy them from somewhere like 'Nice Products' who make all the wheel studs? They don't happen to be 1/2" do they? (Or are they a bit smaller?) UNC I guess but you could change to UNF if it gave you better "wheel stud" options.

You could try using 12 point head ARP bolts. The 12 point head will make it easy to get a ring spanner onto the bolt.

Given they are a weird specialty bolt and nearly unfindable that’s not a bad price. They look to be in good nick too.

By the time you go and buy bolts, cut flats on the sides of the heads, taper them and wonder how to recreate the knurling and the big weird head I think i would rather have the originals.

I've probably got a couple laying around here somewhere.

Years ago i was looking for the UCA > K-frame bolts . After exhaustive research i found that Nova  / Camaro (i think) bolts were exactly the same. The price was $50 / box of 100 bolts.

I made the mistake of mentioning this to a 'reputable' car part restoration company.

3 months later they have them listed for $28 ea.
