Anyone ever fitted Statesman armrests to a Torana hatch ?

Thinking of ways to integrate window switches elegantly and the ashtray area of the long rests came to mind.

They are already there in the Premier/LS/Deville/Caprice/SLE/BO6 armrests. This is my HJ Premier, you can see them on both sides.

Thanks yeah that's exactly what I had in mind ... just wondering about fit or whether the forward extended area is a PITA in the narrower Torana.

Nice car. My UC Hatch has the chamois interior too.

It’s Chamois/Covert. I like the HX/LX Chamois/Black better.

Just grab some armrests and try them.

Mine is 1934-60X Not sure what the X means but it does have the cloth inserts with the rectangular pattern.

I guess I'll buy some and try it but they're not exactly cheap these days. Presumably the LS had a 2 switch insert that would work perfectly.

Then all I need is electric GTS mirrors

The Monaro LS has a 4-way switch. The rear quarter windows also have electric winder mechanisms.

The "GTS electric mirrors" are not genuine. AFAIk they were aftermarket & branded Lukey.

Thanks for that. I figured I would use all 4 anyway and have one be an electric hatch release and the other for the central locking.

Are any of the GTS mirrors available now genuine ? I was looking at a pair from rare spares until I stumbled upon the electric ones which I've so far not been able to find.

LE was the same too I think. Leo wanted the switches in the centre console like a Caprice but wasn't allowed. Dr Terry is right, the mirrors were made and supplied by Lukey. I've never heard of electric mirrors on any Holdens or Statesmans. Even WB Statesman were a manual adjustment I think, at least Deville were. Doesn't mean there weren't any, Dr Terry might have a better clue.

I really don't think that you need 2 electric mirrors in a hatch, that won't be driven all the time. I only need to adjust mirrors on a work car once a week & we have like 10 cars for 35 staff.
