This refers to March 17 only. Not any other green.
Was there ever 2 versions of March 17?
The reason I ask is that a few years back I got a pressure pack touch up can made by a well known auto parts retailer.
Not even remotely close...too light.
Then today, was contacted by our paint n' panel guy who is doing a little job for us. He ordered some March 17 from his industry supplier, and once again, not even remotely close, too light by a mile.
He is more than capable of tinting it to match.
But I wonder if there are 2 March 17's??

Probably more like the tinters today cannot replicate the original lead based tinters making it hard for Greens and Reds. March 17 ie 526-13136 (this is the original paint line, the refinish on the tag will be a different prefix) was 9% lead. Others at the time were worse, like Baroque Red was 11% lead, Indy Orange 21%, The Lone O'Ranger 27%. Bluey was 27% too (often called Infra Red by HQ SS people).

Like I mentioned, he can soon sort it via "spectro" test, so should be good.

Same as our car, but the paint shop thinks otherwise. Have not spoken to the painter again yet, but hoping it's sorted.

Although photos aren't gospel.
It's the paint heads not quiet on target...yet.
