I'm looking for information on the tool to remove Speedo gear from opel 4 speed. It apparently screws onto the drive and has a slide hammer to draw the gear from the housing After removing lock pin

Smashed a few of these in my HK Monaro. Never used a special tool. Probably just a bit of resistance from an "O" ring? Been a while though.

I bet you smashed a few Opel boxes as well! Never understood why GMH fitted those behind an S engine in a Holden, maybe it was as a shear pin to protect the banjo?

Most young blokes in the know back then grabbed the complete doner setup out of a HK-HG 4spd commercial, and just bashed the floor to allow Saginaw shifter linkage clearance.

Thanks Paul. The tool is simpler than l thought but problem is the internal thread in the tube . I bought a fitting for Speedo cable but it's aluminium so may not be strong enough. Guess l just make 1 and test.
