Hey all,

 

Looking for some help, my bonnet cable (UC Torana) has snapped and I can’t open the bonnet! Any guidance on how I can release the bonnet without the cable?

If it has snapped back near the handle. you may be able to remove some of the outer sheath and grab the cable with some pliers. Have someone push down on the bonnet at the same time.

Unfortunately there is no cable that I can access.

Time to remove the plastic grille and see if you can move the release mechanism.

On a Holden you just reach up anywhere you can grab the cable and yank on it hard. Torana you may need to remove the grille as Rexy stated.
