Think you’ll find (( I could be wrong )) they aren’t the same car, 1 on tilt tray has what looks like a roll cage, rubber inserts in bumpers and different wheels to the car being raffled by T.S. All of which the raffle car didn’t have… The raffled car was finally drawn last Thursday (( after being postponed for months )) and winner notified… What I don’t get is half these raffle cars would need major modifications to ever be road registerable in any state so are merely trailer queens only fit for events like power cruise and drag strip… What annoys me is the fact the raffle holders drive them like their stolen, beat and trash these vehicles on public roads whilst in their care, When in fact the minute they are put up as raffle prizes they are no longer the legal owners… Look at half the raffle house employees they boast about their lambos and luxury houses and also the amount of coin that goes to charity from each raffle… Just What or Who’s charity I’ll let you decide…

Major Scam those raffles from what I can see.
A mates daughter worked as an economics expert for one of the many charitable agencies in the country a while back.
Had a chat to her about the perceived rip offs from donations and raffles etc.
The actual amount getting to the charity is very small in lots of cases.
But it is money that they wouldnt get if the activities didnt happen.
Direct donations would of course get them better returns, but the prizes on offer entice people to buy tickets and its money they probably wouldnt get otherwise.
One of the raffle runners has a very high profile, and there has already been some controversy with people associated with him.
Im wondering if he is already under scrutiny considering his acquaintances.
Have seen a few high profile people in the last 10 years or so that fell from grace when somebody did checks into their affairs.
Perhaps they are totally legit, but they appear to be making lots of money for themselves in the process
Cheers

He might be colour blind though. The paint on the Lambo looks like it was stolen off a Valiant.

Rockoz it would be handy to know the names of what charities are dodgy if people have info about them to warn others.
It depends on what you call dodgy I guess.
But unless you are donating directly to a charity itself, then there are layers of people who get a cut before it gets to the charity.
The groups outside your local supermarket for big name charities more often or not get a cut of what you donate.
Then their supervisors and up the chain until something gets to the charity named.
Local volunteer groups such as surf lifesaving and bush fire brigades generally every cent gets to who you think you are donating to.
There have been surf lifesaving representatives for the state level where the collectors get a cut. The flashy brochures and stuff can help work that out.
Most of the big charitable organisations also have large numbers of paid staff, some on very decent coin that the donations also help fund.
Personally I only give direct to local organisations where I know the money gets to where its needed, rather than paying people.
But that is just my choice.
It seems wrong to me for individuals to get rich collecting money to supposedly go to a charitable cause.
But, they cause is getting something regardless, and it is up to you to decide if that is right or not.
Cheers
