I have an LX four door that leans to the drivers side.

I know it’s got a crook ball joint but not sure if any other suspension components might be causing this.

Im concerned it might be a twisted or bent chassis. If it is, is this fixable?

I reckon the lean is about an inch.

Hi it sounds like a saggy spring, it can also be the rear spring, which can cause it to lean, as for chassis anything is repairable, i would pull out and measure the springs height, or take them to a spring retentioner, its not expensive around 50 to 100 dollars i hope this helps you

Thankyou mate. I always tend to suspect worst case scenario haha but will follow your advice

Swap the springs left to right...see if the sag follows?

Or it could be worst case scenario. Any big hit in a front corner of a Torana can (and usually does) amount to a bent chassis rail.  Still repairable, but a lot more work.  Pop the bonnet so it is still on the second catch and see if there is a difference between the gap between it and the nose cone from one side to the other.

Posted a new thread about this but will just post it in here instead.

I noticed when jacking the rear end up at the middle of the diff, there was a 1.5 inch gap on the passenger side compared to the drivers side when I went to put car stands under it.

Would this mean anything that the difference is at the axles?

To answer your question Shiney, the front of the bonnet is square when I compare both sides.

Measure hub centre to top of guard for each wheel. I bet the front driver is smaller thn passenger. Typical with age.

Time to swap the springs me thinks.

Jack up one end of the car at a time and see which end of the car is dominated by the irregularity.

(it is probably the front, as the wheel rate at the front is higher)

Remove the front shocks and look up through the shock hole to make sure that the front springs are seated correctly at the top. They can also be located weirdly in the lower perches. People often stuff this up and it would relate in about a 1" difference I would think.

If you can get your hands on corner-weighting scales, you can really interrogate the issue and chase it down to nothing by cutting front springs and spacing or re-setting rear springs. Post below on me doing mine:
