What's this plug with light and dark green wires coming from same loom as dipper switch? Car is 72 LJ SL 4dr sedan. Pretty sure it was an auto from factory so could be for the auto trans?

I don't have any books near me right now but it looks like the reverse switch wiring. Manual cars either hook to the column or there is a 2-wire harness that goes through the tunnel down to the switch on the aussie 4spd. Autos either go to the column or a harness from the console shifter plugs into that.

Yes, the plug is the 2 green wires is definitely for the reverse switch on the gearbox as Byron said.
