Is there anywhere other than rarespares to get lj tag rivets , i think i have seen them advertised a fair bit cheaper than Rares but can't remember where?

Really?

Bunnings don't have the large type GMH tag rivets.

Just had a quick look. ebay sellers are about the same price or dearer than RSP. Resto Country are about the same.

I thought I was getting cheaper ones through a Mustang restorers website, bit it turns out they are a slightly smaller diameter.

All of the aftermarket ones are smaller I believe. You can't get originals easily. I have kept a few old ones off HQ's in case I ever have to repair a HK in the cowl area.

Yeah that rings a bell, i think that is where i saw them, thanks mate. Could you make the mustang ones fit at all?

I used the RSP tag rivets to refit the tags on my LJ Rad support. I removed them when I resprayed the engine bay. They secure the tags on quite nicely.
